  Did you know there was a time, I thought dog training start and ended with Sit, Come, down and stay? As someone heavily involved in horse training I hadnt considered how far training your dog could get you. As a teenager I had a rescue shepherd cross that I look back on and think wow I would have loved to train that dog now! She lived 13 years knowing pretty much nothing. No real structure, no real solid obedience, pulled like a freight train, was a shut down mess most of the time. What changed for me? A few years ago I discovered how much I loved training dogs. A Dalmatian that was super trainable and biddable soaked up everything I would throw at him. The more I challenged him the more we both discovered we loved working together. With his helping hand I discovered my love for obedience and competition in the sport of IGP in which I have devoted much of my time towards with my own sports dogs.
